Katie Cook writes up another great story. There is just something about the way she writes a story that keeps characters the same but puts a great spin on a story and has great comical timing. I have read a lot of comics over the years and this one and a lot of the my little pony comics make me laugh out loud. From the first page and into the theme song you know you are in for a treat. She has this great blend of including reference so obscure from great movies and comics. The Hutson Hawk setup was brilliant and I did not see it coming. The art work by Agnes Garbowska is able to shows those subtle things like the craze look of pony's driven mad. Great artwork just pushes a story and drives home the characters. There is a great image of a scene of a "Nightmare" moon at the end of the story. No words just the picture of the worse possible thing that could happen.
And the resolution of the story was so satisfying. Even the backup story made me laugh at poor Bunny. I am afraid that like Queen Chrysalis before, Katie may have put Prince Blueblood on the map as a great "not-so-great" character. I would not mind seeing Blueblood take on Discord if another Deviations is planned.
As bonus you get a from script to page examples of a page of the comic.
